Speech Contest in Korean Language 2024

King Sejong Institute Luxembourg organizes "Speech Contest in Korean Language 2024". We encourage anyone who is passionate about learning Korean to participate.  The 1st place winner will be given an opportunity to visit and have a tour in Korea (Participation in the 2024 Training for Excellent Learners invited by King Sejong Institute Foundation). 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive Amazon gift cards. 4th to 6th place winners will receive special prizes sponsored by K-Shop. (K-Shop is running a pop-up store until June 8th. Location: 121 rue de l’Alzette, Esch-sur-Alzette. You can find your favorite K-pop music and merchandise, cosmetics, clothes, and much more..)

Script submission deadline: 20 June, 2024 d. Contest date: 13:30, 22 June 2024 e. Location: Lycée Robert Schuman (1 Boulevard Emmanuel Servais, Luxembourg) * The contest will be held Physically.  

2. Conditions of eligibility  Anyone who wants to join, living in Luxembourg (Including nearby countries and cities). * Except for native Korean speakers, and those who have native Korean-speaking parents

Participants in the Speech Contest are requested to send us a written version of their speech by 20 June 2024 via email to: k.culture.lux@gmail.com  

4. The themes for the contest  You can choose one of the 2 themes below: a. The moment I felt that I was the coolest. b. The special Korean culture that I experienced. * The speech should be between 1 - 4 minutes.  

5. Evaluation criteria  Diversity (30), Fluency (30), Precision (20), Pronunciation (20)  

6. Prizes  ★ 1st place (1 person): Opportunity to visit and tour Korea (Participation in the 2024 Training for Excellent Leaners invited by King Sejong Institute Foundation) ★ 2nd place (1 person): Amazon gift card (200 Euros) ★ 3rd place (1 person): Amazon gift card (100 Euros) ★ 4th place (1 person): Special Prize from K-shop ★ 5th place (1 person): Special Prize from K-shop ★ 6th place (2 people): Special Prize from K-shop
